Joyce K. Spratt


Gansevoort, NY- Joyce K. Spratt of Gates Ave. North Gansevoort, NY, died suddenly at Saturday, November 12, 2011. She was 69.

Born on March 5, 1942, in Albany, NY, she was the daughter of the late Edward Kosinski and Mary Zabielski.

Joyce married her husband of 47 years, Richard Spratt, on July 25, 1964.
Mrs. Spratt was employed as the comptroller for Mo-part a division of Chrysler in Albany, NY. She then took a position as store manager for Etienne Aigner in Woodbury, NY, and later transferred with the company to the Lake George Region. Joyce retired from Adirondack Community College where she was manager of the college’s campus store.

She was a president of the Women of Woodbury and an active member of the Rosary Alter Society in Central Valley, NY. She was also president of the Monroe Woodbury PTA. Joyce’s greatest joy came from being a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. Her life and love was dedicated to her family.

Survivors include her husband, Richard; son, Richard Edward Spratt of Albany; three daughters, Katherine M. (Stephen Bennis) Spratt of Campbell Hall, NY, Susan S. (Tom) Clark of Framingham, MA, and Mary Beth (Jason) Badman of Tully, NY; brother, Edward ( Jo Ann) Kosinski of Rensselaer, NY; sisters, Joanne (Brian) O’Neill of Albany and Marlene (Ralph) Gonzalez of Latham; grandchildren, Clancy and Thomas Clark, and Sage and Violet Badman; aunt, Helen Kosinski; and her cousin, Lydia Kosinski of Albany.


A Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday, November 16, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church on Central Ave. Albany, NY.

Arrangements are under the direction of Tunison Funeral Home, 105 Lake Ave. Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
