James Thomas Reynolds, Sr
SARATOGA SPRINGS – James Thomas Reynolds, Sr, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, July 21, 2016. He was born on September 13, 1938 to the late Joseph P. Reynolds, I, and Charlotte (Edes) Reynolds and is the youngest son of their six children. Of his siblings, Jim is predeceased by his two brothers Joseph P. Reynolds, II, and John Reynolds and survived by his three older sisters Patricia Richards, Mary Boyle, and Catherine “DeDe” Bernatchy.
After retiring from Pallette Stone Quarry in 2001, Jim spent his time enjoying the company of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He loved tinkering in his basement with his tools and riding around his neighborhood visiting with all of his neighbors. He was a member of the local YMCA and enjoyed exercising there. Jim was also a member of the Principessa Elena Society for over 20 years.
In addition to his sisters, Jim is survived by his loving wife, Theresa Verro Reynolds, his three children James T. Reynolds, Jr. and Jayne Bedford of Ballston Spa, Elizabeth and Samuel Fitzgerald of Saratoga Springs, and Toni and Keith Vaughan of Aurora, CO, his four grandchildren Michelle and Michael Howard of Charleston, SC, Sean and Jennifer Fitzgerald of Wilder, VT, Angela and Chris Belcher of Denver, CO, and Edmund and Daniece Rainville of Parker, CO, and his two great-grandchildren Kallum Fitzgerald and Natalia Belcher.
Friends and relatives paid their respects on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at the William J. Burke and Sons/Bussing and Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway in Saratoga Springs.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at St. Clement’s Church, 231 Lake Ave. in Saratoga Springs by the Rev. George J. Blasick, C.Ss.R., Pastor. Burial was held in the family plot at St. Peter’s Cemetery, West Ave. also in Saratoga Springs.
