LAKE GEORGE — Rose Dolan, 84, died Sunday, February 9 at her home.

Born February 18, 1929, in Saratoga Springs, she was the daughter of the late George and Mae (Van Denburgh) Dolan.

Rose worked at First National Bank of Glens Falls for 19 years and was Cost Account Manager at International Paper Co., retiring after 19 years of service.

She was a very active volunteer for many organizations, including High Peaks Hospice, Warren County Tourism, Community Action Center, Habitat for Humanity, Greater Adirondack Home Aides, Wesley Health Care Center, Salvation Army, Voluntary Action Center, the Home of the Good Shepherd, and Wiawaka Holiday House.

Rose was voted “Volunteer of the Year” by The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program for 1995 and 1997 and together with her twin sister Donna, received the Lifetime Service award in 2005.

She was an active communicant of the Episcopal Church, having served on the Altar Guild for 52 years, and as a lector, a member of the choir, Vestry, Sunday School teacher and treasurer of the building fund for the church. She was also a member of Bethesda Shepherds and Bell Ringers Guild.

Survivors include a brother, Richard Stanley Dolan of Florida; a sister-in-law, Natsue Dolan of Illinois and several nieces, great nieces and great nephews.

There will be no calling hours.

A Requiem Eucharist will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Thursday February 13 at Bethesda Episcopal Church, corner of Broadway at Washington Street, Saratoga Springs, officiated by the Rev. Marshall Vang, rector, the Rev. Paul Evans and the Rev. Julie McPartlin.

Burial will follow at Pine View Cemetery, Quaker Road, Queensbury.

Memorial donations may be made to the Thomas Parke Music Fund,  Bethesda Episcopal Church, 41 Washington Street, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 and High Peaks Hospice & Palliative Care Inc., 79 Glenwood Ave., 2nd Floor, Queensbury, NY 12804.

Arrangements are under the direction of the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes of 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs (518) 584-5373.
