BALLSTON SPA — The Second Annual Village of Ballston Spa Birdhouse Celebration is in flight.
“Last year was such a soaring success we are doing it again,” notes Mark Blech, Ballston Spa resident, artist, and organizer of the event with Mayor John Romano. “We hope that everyone in the village will flock to this year’s Birdhouse Celebration.”
Best of the entries will be awarded plaques and prizes at the Second Annual Village of Ballston Spa Birdhouse Festival on May 4 in Wiswall Park on Front St. in the center of downtown Ballston Spa. All birdhouses built within guidelines will be expertly mounted along the half-mile Tedisco Trail. Plus, for those with less than perfect hammer and nail skills, go to the Ballston Spa Public Library and pick up a pre-made birdhouse, for free, to decorate and enter into the contest.
Open to all ages and free to enter—original birdhouses (no kits allowed)—are due to The Ballston Spa Public Library (21 Milton Road, Ballston Spa) by April 14. Entry forms are available on the BSBPA website: www.ballston.org
