SARATOGA SPRINGS - In October 2018, the First Baptist Church, the city's longest-serving congregation, will celebrate its 225th anniversary.
To mark its anniversary, First Baptist plans to make improvements to its 1855 church building, the city’s second-oldest, as well as expand its support to students in need, homeless adults, victims of domestic violence, and to the racetrack’s backstretch workers.
Earlier this month, First Baptist celebrated its historic past and bright future with a new sign showing its commitment since 1793 to Christian ministry to the city. The First Baptist church building also serves as home to Terra Nova of Saratoga, which began its Christian ministry in 2012.
