Capital Fund of Saratoga County has made a generous, $2,000 donation to Franklin Community Center through proceeds from their successful 2012 Saratoga Springs Horse Show. The Horse Show has been a staple in Saratoga for over 50 years and now the Capital Fund is looking forward to taking over the operations of the Saratoga Horse Expo. The money donated to Franklin Community Center will be used to support their emergency food pantry. Franklin’s food pantry relies completely on support for the local community and is very excited to be among the food pantries selected to receive funding.
“This donation could not have come at a better time,” said Executive Director Kari Cushing. “We are coming off our busiest pantry season ever and this will help us to restock our shelves for the upcoming holidays.”
Franklin’s food pantry is open to the community daily and has seen a tremendous increase in requests since the start of summer. For more information about Franklin please visit our website at www.franklincommunitycenter.org
