Photographing the Beauty Around Me

Saratoga County Office for the Aging is excited to offer a new, free program for 55+ residents of Saratoga County. A 6-week Zoom course is designed to teach older adults to capture digital photographs of their environments and the people they encounter on a daily basis. Participants will learn and hone basic aim-and-shoot skills. By the end of this class, students will have an appreciation for what makes a great photograph. No previous photography skills are required. The course will be held every Friday through August 13. Pre-registration is required. Keanen Stark and Orion Kribs

Fly-In Breakfasts Are Back
The Empire State Aerosciences Museum (ESAM), 250 Rudy Chase Drive, Glenville | 8:30 – 10:30 a.m.

Breakfast is open to the public. In step with guidelines from the New York State Department of Health and the Center for Disease Control, ESAM will continue certain safety measures to assure the safety of our visitors. Speaking at 10 a.m. will be Stephen Davies on his experiences as a passenger on the Concorde which he has flown in twice to Europe and back to the US.  Mr. Davies is a UK-born aeronautical engineer who enjoyed a varied career at Rolls-Royce, British Airways and GE. Now retired, he lives in the Capital District and works part time as a flight instructor. Fly-In if you would like. Pilots: Tower Frequency 121.3; Ground 121.9. Summer Stroll: North Broadway

10:30 a.m. – Noon | Executive Director of the Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation (SSPF), Samantha Bosshart, will lead a tour of the grand Queen Annes along this famed corridor. All Sunday morning tours last approximately 90 minutes and require walking and standing on varied terrain. Tours will be limited to thirty and tickets must be purchased in advance. The cost per tour is $15 for SSPF members and $20 for non-members. Members who have received complimentary Stroll passes will have those honored for their value of $10 and will be required to pay the difference of $5. Sounds of Summer from the Brookside Porch
Brookside Museum, 6 Charlton St., Ballston Spa
3 p.m. | The History Center is pleased to welcome instrumentalists from the American Federation of Musicians to perform two concerts at Brookside Museum.  Performers, including several from the Albany Symphony Orchestra, will be playing popular melodies on Brookside’s grand front porch while guests relax on the spacious front lawn. The ensemble will treat visitors to a selection of toe-tapping pop favorites. free and open to the public.  Guests should bring their own lawn chairs or picnic blankets. Rain date will be the following Wednesday.
