Patricia Corning Stanley
SARATOGA SPRINGS — On Tuesday, June 14, 2016, Patricia Corning Stanley entered heaven and is now eternally with the Lord. Pat was born in Ballston Spa, to Frank and Ruth Corning. Her 40-year career as a language teacher gave her delight in teaching and mentoring young people.
Pat touched the lives of students and staff members out of her love of God, which was at the very center of her heart. She selflessly looked after the needs of family members, friends and even strangers, never expecting anything in return.
Pat is survived by her loving husband, William Stanley; her sisters: Suzanne LeMere (husband Terry) and Joan McDonough both of Saratoga Springs, Martha McGraw of Georgia, VT; her brothers: Michael Corning (wife Karen) of Ponte Vedra, FL and Joseph Corning (wife Melissa) of Wethersfield, CT.
She was beloved ‘Aunt’ Pat to 15 nieces and nephews and ‘great-Aunt’ to 12 great-nieces and nephews. The family thanks all of the medical staff and caregivers with whom she interacted.
A celebration of Pat’s life was held on Monday, June 20, 2016 at Abundant Life Church located at 2325 Rte 50 ( at Hutchins Rd.), in Saratoga Springs. At Pat’s request, in lieu of flowers, please send donations directly to the American Cancer Society, the Community Hospice of Saratoga Springs, NY or the SPCA of Upstate NY.
