Rolling Road Closures, Sunday, September 15

In conjunction with the Saratoga Springs Police Department, the southbound lane of Broadway from Van Dam Street to the intersection of Crescent Avenue and Route 9 will be closed to traffic from 7 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. High Rock Avenue from Circular Street to Lake Avenue will be closed from 7 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. (local traffic only). Parking will also be suspended these same routes beginning at 6 a.m. “No Parking” signs will be posted. It is suggested between these hours to avoid Exit 13 both southbound and northbound and Exit 15 southbound. Expect significant traffic delays and stoppage if using these exits.

From the North and South

·        From 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. DO NOT USE EXIT 13—Please avoid Northway Exit 15—Use Northway I-87 Exit 14, right onto Union Avenue, followed by a right onto Henning Road or right onto East Avenue. Avoid areas around Nelson Avenue near the flat track, White Street, Congress Park and Lake Avenue from Circular Street to Broadway.

·        After 8:30 a.m. a.m. until 11:30- a.m.—please DO NOT use Exit 13—expect significant traffic delays and stoppage at this point. Instead use Northway I-87 Exit 14, right onto Union Avenue, followed by a right onto Henning Road or right onto East Avenue; or Exit 15 provides access to areas around Broadway and the east and west sides of town. Avoid areas around Nelson Avenue near the flat track, White Street, Congress Park and Lake Avenue from Circular Street to Broadway.

From the East

·        Via Route 29/Lake Avenue follow detours at East Avenue and Lake Avenue. Access to the flat track via East Avenue is available. Avoid areas around Nelson Avenue near the flat track, White Street, Congress Park and Lake Avenue from Circular Street to Broadway.

From the West

·        From 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.—Avoid Broadway due to rolling road closures. To gain access across Broadway, use Clinton Street, take a right onto Daniels Road, followed by a right onto Route 9 to Marion Avenue to Excelsior Avenue. From 8:30 to 11 a.m., use 9N to Van Dam Street to Route 50 to gain access to Wilton or the east side of town. Broadway will be accessible but AVOID South Broadway until 10:30 a.m. From approximately 7 a.m. to 11 a.m., avoid areas around High Rock Park, Lake Avenue from Broadway to Circular Street. To gain access to I-87 southbound or northbound AVOID EXIT 13 via Route 9/South Broadway. To I87 Exit 13, take Route 50 to left on Northline Road, left on Old Post Road, right on Route 9 (follow posted detour signs.) To Exit 14 or Exit 15 see suggested routes above.
