Ballston Spa Teachers Awarded Tenure

BALLSTON SPA — Nineteen staff members from the Ballston Spa Central School District have recently been awarded their tenure from the Board of Education at a recent meeting. The were presented by the principals from each school in the district, who each commended the teachers’ commitment to the students in the district. Board of Education President Kevin Schaefer expressed his gratitude and congratulations to the recently tenured staff on behalf of the Board. Elementary teachers receiving tenure include Malta Avenue Elementary School teacher Christine Darmofal, Milton Terrace Elementary School teachers Aimee LaMountain and Tia Pelneau, Wood Road Elementary School teachers Andrew Ferrone, Kristin O’Connor and Rachel Osinski, and Gordon Creek Elementary School teachers Kaitlin Ahl and Monica Parmenter. Teachers from the Ballston Spa Middle School receiving tenure include Michelle Brandt, Jessica Corwin, James Ivers, Hilary Northrop and Melinda Whisenhunt. Ballston Spa High School teachers receiving tenure include Karin Marcotullio, Jason Walton and Ank Meuwissen. Some teaching assistance were awarded tenure as well, including Bridget Vesic from the Ballston Spa Middle School, Amy Heim from the Milton Terrace Elementary School and Jessica Gurwitz from the Wood Road Elementary School.
