SARATOGA SPRINGS — ON DECK Saratoga, a community-based group that promotes local skateboarding events and skatepark stewardship, has announced the return of Skate Jam at the East Side Recreational Skatepark. The event, planned for Saturday, June 25, will feature food, music, raffles and skate competitions. Skate Jam invites skaters of all ages and experience levels to attend.
Over the past 10 years, ON DECK has worked toward the goal of getting a modern, fully concrete skatepark installed at the East Side Recreation field. ON DECK envisions a park designed to host art shows, fundraising events, skateboarding lessons and free outdoor movies in an effort to raise awareness and support for the local skateboarding community.
