Fish Fry Fridays
Fish Creek Rod and Gun Club, Route 32 south of the Village of Victory | 4:30 - 7 p.m.

Fish Fry will continue every Friday through April 19. All are welcome, members and non-members.  Menu: Fish Fry, Chicken Fry, Clam Fry, Popcorn Shrimp Fry, Buffalo Shrimp, Chowder, ask about our extras and beverages. Dinner will include a generous portion of Haddock (either fried or baked), French fries, cole slaw, tartar sauce, and cocktail sauce for the cost of $12 ($1 extra for take-out).  Also available for purchase will be fried clams, New England clam chowder, macaroni and cheese, and dessert.  All events are open to the public and families are always welcome. Your support of these events helps the Knights to continue to support our local schools and other charitable causes within the community.

Saturday, March 9

Third Annual Schuylerville Fundraiser
American Legion, 6 Clancy St., Schuylerville | 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

There will be local vendors, basket raffles, 50/50, face painting and lunch from 11a.m. – 2 p.m.

Free Lunch
Malta Ridge United Methodist Church, 729 Malta Ave., Malta Ridge | 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Tang Family Saturdays
Tang Teaching Museum, Skidmore Campus, Saratoga Springs | 2 – 3:30 p.m.

Suitable for children ages 5 and up with their adult companions. Programs include a brief tour of a current Tang exhibition followed by a hands-on art activity. Free and open to the public. Reservations are strongly suggested. For reservations and information, call 518-580-8080.

Ballston Area Seniors Monthly Dance
Milton Community Center, 310 Northline Rd., Ballston Spa | 7 – 10 p.m.

Lenten Bible Study

Community Board Game Night 
Northshire Bookstore, 424 Broadway Saratoga Springs | 3 – 6 p.m.

The event will be hosted by Joined by Gaming, whose mission is to draw attention to programs that help this world become better for gamers and non-gamers, and to create an environment of equality and positivity. Drop by to play. Lots of great family-friendly games will be provided. This is a free event, but donations to help support the kids at the Bernard and Millie Ducker Children's Hospital at Albany Medical Center will be gratefully accepted.  Everyone who donates will be entered in a drawing to win a few fun games and prizes.

Love Your Pets Luncheon with John Gray

John will talk about his new children’s book “Keller’s Heart.” John is a journalist and writer and an avid animal lover. John will sign and personalize his book, “Keller’s Heart” for you and your loved ones. Our inspirational speaker, Sharon Haggar from East Syracuse, will share her life’s story. Monsenor: The Last Journey of Oscar Romer

Cancer Support Group 
Saratoga Hospital, 211 Church St., Saratoga Springs | Noon – 1 p.m.

The cancer support group is a safe container to explore common physical, financial, emotional, cognitive, developmental, familial and spiritual issues. Pierre is a survivor of stage 4 cancer, diagnosed in 2001 and given a few months to live. Korean War Veterans Association Luncheon

  • New York State Police The New York State Police announced that it issued 5,576 tickets during this year’s St. Patrick’s Day enforcement initiative. The campaign began on Friday, March 15, and continued until Sunday, March 17. During the campaign, funded by the Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee, State Police utilized sobriety checkpoints, additional DWI patrols, and underage drinking and sales to minors detail. State Police also ticketed distracted drivers who use handheld electronic devices.
