Pond Exploration
Wilton Wildlife Preserve, 80 Scout Rd., Gansevoort | 10 a.m. – Noon

Free Movies in the Park
Wiswall Park, Front St., Ballston Spa|Dusk (approx. 8:30 p.m.) This week’s free outdoor movie will be the animated film, “Abominable.” Rain date is the following Saturday evening.

Build Bunk Beds for Children
St. Luke’s on the Hill, 40 McBride Rd., Mechanicville | 8 a.m. set up, 9 a.m. build. Sleep in Heavenly Peace is a group of volunteers dedicated to finding those children who are sleeping on the floor or otherwise unwanted conditions and delivering hand-built bunk beds free of charge. Come be a part of the teams building bunk beds for children. 

Lazy Dayz of Summer
Brookside Museum, 6 Charlton St., Ballston Spa | 3 – 6 p.m.

Brooks Barbecue at Brookside. All proceeds go to fund public education and children’s programs. ½ bbq chicken, baked potato, cole slaw, roll, drink, cookie, all for $13. Take out only. Please visit

Monthly Breakfast
Fish Creek Rod and Gun Club, Route 32 south of the village of Victory | 8 – 11 a.m. Take out only. You must remain in your vehicle when at the clubhouse, we will take your order and collect your money and serve your food. Menu will be: pancakes (regular, or buckwheat,  toast (white or wheat), bacon, sausage, , home fries. You may call your order in at  518-695-3917. Cost will be $8.00.

Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation Summer Stroll
Greenridge Cemetery, Sackett Gates, Lincoln Ave., Saratoga Springs | 10:30 a.m.

Join leader Gloria May to learn about the women in Greenridge Cemetery. This tour includes the prominent and influential as well as the ordinary women whose life stories tell the history of Saratoga Springs. Due to the distance covered during the tour it will take between 1.5 and 2 hours.

  • New York State Police The New York State Police announced that it issued 5,576 tickets during this year’s St. Patrick’s Day enforcement initiative. The campaign began on Friday, March 15, and continued until Sunday, March 17. During the campaign, funded by the Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee, State Police utilized sobriety checkpoints, additional DWI patrols, and underage drinking and sales to minors detail. State Police also ticketed distracted drivers who use handheld electronic devices.
