Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office On March 3, the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Unit charged Douglas B. Williams, 37, of Halfmoon, with assault in the second-degree, a felony. Williams is accused of striking and injuring a child less than 7 years of age in the town of Halfmoon in February. He was released on his own recognizance with a Temporary Order of Protection issued on behalf of the victim, who is related to Williams. He is due back in the Halfmoon Town Court in April.
