Lydia V. Taylor, age 76, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022.
She was born on September 16, 1945, in Queens, NY, the daughter of the late Louis and Theresa (Weir) Alfandari.
In 1962 Lydia married her first husband, John Moran and had two children, Kevin and Deborah. In the early 70’s they relocated to Saratoga Springs. Lydia worked for the state for 25+ years and provided for her children as they grew up and found their own lives. In 1988, Lydia married Richard Taylor, they were married for 17 years. In 1989, she became a grandmother having three grandsons and one granddaughter. After retiring from the state, she lived the rest of her life enjoying the little things with family, friends and her two wonderful dogs, Jack and Danny. She was a light in many people’s lives and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her son-in-law, Harold Thomas; grandsons, Sean Thomas, Harold Thomas Jr., and Devin Thomas all of Ballston Spa; granddaughter, Rachel Wellington of Tahlequah, OK and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Beverly Alfandari; first husband, John Moran; daughter, Deborah Thomas and son, Kevin Moran.
A funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at St. Peters Church, 241 Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY. All who knew Lydia are welcome to join.
