SARATOGA COUNTY — Rebuilding Together Saratoga County, a local nonprofit organization committed to providing safe and healthy housing for low-income homeowners, is providing much-needed repairs and accessibility modifications for 15 local families in need for National Rebuilding Month.
Rebuilding Together is part of a national network of affiliates who participate in National Rebuilding Month each April. Nearly 40,000 volunteers are serving in more than 1,600 affiliate-led rebuild projects across the country through May.
Rebuilding Together is assisting 15 local families, including a veteran and his wife. Carl and Marcia need a ramp and a walk-in shower so that Carl can continue to safely and comfortably remain in his home. A grant from Sears has allowed Rebuilding Together to modify this home for accessibility and make other critical repairs so Marcia and Carl can remain in the neighborhood they love and have lived in for nearly 40 years.
Rebuilding Together Founder and Executive Director, Michelle Larkin, said, “We are so grateful for the support of our many sponsors and the hard work of our volunteers. Without this support, we would not be able to help folks like Carl and Marcia to be able to remain in their homes.”
The Saratoga Builders Association and South High Marathon Dance are Premier Sponsors for National Rebuilding Month. Other sponsors include Fingerpaint, Ianniello Anderson, P.C., Global Foundries Town of Malta Foundation, and Sears Heroes at Home.
